Terms and Conditions

continues to bottom of page. . .

It is my aim (internet willing) to acknowledge every order and enquiry on the same day - or on the following day if the order comes in late afternoon / evening / Sunday.

Orders will be packed and dispatched promptly, and I will send you an email to confirm that your order is on its way.
Small items will be sent by Royal Mail, whereas larger items will be sent out by courier.
It would be kind of you to confirm safe arrival by email.

Since I am only human, my intention above will sometimes slip!
Please bear with me if I am in my workshop and not at my computer when you try to contact me.

Thank you - Karen.

Post, Packing and Payment

All prices throughout my site are correct for orders delivered to anywhere in the UK that has a regular Royal Mail delivery (for smaller packages), or for delivery to mainland UK by courier (for bulkier / heavier items).

Anyone requiring delivery to an address that is not covered by the above paragraph is advised to email me first with their order. I will check to see if delivery will add anything to the cost, then email back with a 'Pay Now' order form option.

Payment is only accepted in UK Stirling. Secure payment is offered by Pay Pal, using your credit / debit card or Pay Pal account.

Cost of Post and Packing

The cost of post and packing will be calculated at the end of your order.

Orders that come to over £80 will be FREE from additional post and packing charges.

Orders up to £9.99 will have a twenty five percent surcharge for post and packing added to the invoice.

Orders between £10.00 and £79.99 will have a fifteen percent surcharge for post and packing added to the invoice.

Delivery Problems

Obviously, you trust me to send the items ordered, and I trust Royal Mail and my favourite courier company to get the goods to you. Even though problems are rare, we all know that life is not straight forward sometimes.

If delivery is delayed email me and I will try to track down the problem. If delivery has gone totally wrong I will do my very best to sort out the problem. We will sort out the best resolution between us when we know what the problem is - it is no use trying to pre-guess every conceivable problem here.

Returns Policy

Please only order something that you are sure that you want!

That may sound simple, but it will save both of us a lot of grief. I have tried to make clear all over the site where problems might arise: Colour matching between your screen and the item in real life; where 'colours may vary' in some kits and projects; what is and what is not included - and so on. Please take note of those limitations when you buy from me.

If it has still gone wrong, and you want to return all or part of your order for a refund - THIS BIT IS IMPORTANT:

IF IT IS A KIT; you must return it at your own expense ready for re-sale in good condition. If you do your bit then I will refund your purchase price, but not any of the postage costs either of us have incurred. If the kit does not arrive at my door in good condition only some of the purchase price will be refunded - the actual amount will be worked out between us when we know what the problem is, but it WILL NOT BE A FULL REFUND.

IF IT IS FABRIC; your order will have been cut from a larger piece for you. It is not fair or reasonable to ask me to refund the full price, because it is too late for me to re-attach it to the bolt. In this case you must return the fabric to me in a clean condition, and I will refund you HALF OF THE PURCHASE PRICE, but not any of the postage costs either of us have incurred.

Once again, it is worth repeating:

Please only order something that you are sure that you want!

The Legal Bit

I live and trade in the UK. I aim to meet my legal obligations ACCORDING TO UK LAW. If anyone wants to buy from me from another country I WILL NOT ACCEPT any obligations that you think I should because of laws that are LOCAL TO YOU, but are not UK LAW.

All of the writing on this page is intended to be in clear, straight-forward English that both of us can understand. If you do not understand my 'terms and conditions', or do not want to accept my 'terms and conditions', please make life simple for both of us and make your purchases elsewhere.

IF IT ALL GOES WRONG I will refer you to this page.

If we are still at odds and cannot reach a friendly settlement then it is up to you to make a case that will stand up in a UK court to prove that I have been UNFAIR or UNREASONABLE. You will also have to prove that my 'terms and conditions' do not meet the requirements of UK LAW, because if you buy from me you must have already accepted my 'terms and conditions'.
